Scope and Content

The Welsh Language Research Unit was set up to research Welsh dialectology and linguistics and to teach phonetics and linguistics within the Welsh department. The archive contains paperwork produced in the course of the Welsh Language Research Unit's activities. A collection of documents and academic papers (both originals and photocopies) on Sociolinguistics, Phonetics, Dialects and Bilingualism. Mainly Welsh related. English, Welsh, French, Scottish Gaelic, Raeto-Romansch.

Conditions Governing Access

Access is available by prior appointment, during 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
