On them coming before long and the possibility of leaving the babies with them so they can get things sorted at Hampstead, shortage of cooks and servants, the weather, an auctioneer appraising Lanehead, going with Barbara to Ambleside for the L[ake] A[rtists] S[ociety] meeting, Gershom going to Carlisle for an Antiq[arians] meeting and being unwell, Betty Owen coming and going for a drive, vaccinations, comparing Dora's two children [Taqui and Susan], and watching a squirrel.
