Scope and Content

On Ruthie's birthday, returning a letter from David, enjoying themselves at Burnside, the children, Robin' likeness to Gershom, their servant Christina who is finding out that servants are not as inferior as she imagined in a gentleman's house, eating produce from the garden, mornings with the children, Dora wanting to thank Dr Mason for bringing their baby, and thinking Burnside a pretty house but not wanting to change it for Gillhead.
