On when she last wrote, going away, Mrs Rowland being very ill, the previous term, the Teachers' Conference in Oxford, open day, new children, working hard but enjoying it thoroughly, flowers, George's activities, the Jaques' travels, a story about her Aunt, reaching the age of 36, birthday gifts, having tea with two nice young men, wanting to know when she is coming to Cathcart, not hearing from Kammie, and a woman with the same name as her mother committing suicide.
