On her card and letter arriving, beginning to be normal again, Dora enjoying herself but working hard, it being quite without her and the men only emerging for meals, the weather, possible visitors, hoping to hear from Barbara and Ursula about the wedding on the previous day, going to Liverpool, Gershom's advice that she must stay away as long as possible, offering to send her a cheque if she wishes to return to London, no good returning to see Robin, Robin training Puck [a dog], and wondering what it is about Barbara and penguins.
