Sent from Ternitz [Austria] regarding the weather, visitors leaving for Vienna, heatwave in England, Dora being absent minded, a letter from Mrs Pennington regarding a fan Dorrie painted for her, various visitors and relations, Dora going for her first drive since having appendicitis, current events in newspaper and a long article on John Ruskin using W. G. Collingwood's Life and Work of John Ruskin, people in Austria being frank about their 'insides', and a report from the doctor. Also contains a note from Dora to her family about the drive she went on.
