On not hearing news of them; receiving a letter from June/July of the previous year; having the flu; March weather; a letter from Robin saying that he has resigned his professorship, left Oxford, has requested Ethel to try for a divorce and that he is going to live in a cottage with Kathleen Edwardes; Ethel writing with her view of the situation; doubting if there can be a divorce as Ethel knew about the situation all along; Robin having another attack; Titty being the only member of the family to have met Kathleen; Ursula's view of the situation; Kammie's disgust at Robin's situation; and feelings toward Ethel.
