On Grandpa [Dr A A Altounyan] having to give up operating, the weather, the garden, going to Grasmere and sending-in day at the Hall, [Janet] being engaged professionally to do alterations and improvements on Tent Lodge, the sale of Atkinson Ground, the Wares inhabiting Lanehead again, neighbours, making jam, the Lancashire District Nursing Ass[ociation?], and the plan for the Dist[rict] Nurs[ing] Organisation to be taken over by the Government, bedding in Majorca, Ursula visiting and being preoccupied with the approaching wedding, Dora's garden, the arrival of Blue Bird [a boat?].
