Ann Sambach, a widow, left £100 in 1657
to be spent on land, the profits of
which were to be spent on widows in the
parishes of Oxford St. Mary the Virgin,
Oxford St. Peter le Bailey and Oxford
St. Peter in the East. This money was
spent on some land in Charlton-on-
Otmoor, and the property was
administered by feoffees chosen from all
three parishes.
