Various communications, by letter and fax, with (and through) Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, Wardour Street, London. The correspondence concerns a number of television and screen adaptation proposals and projects, and includes specific responses and comments from Ballard.
The file includes correspondence (1993-97) with Jonathan Weiss concerning his 16mm film of The Atrocity Exhibition. Ballard to Weiss (12 December 1997): 'It's a remarkable piece of work, clearly a great labour of love, and a unique kind of cinema in its allusiveness, poetic imagination and a vast repertory of powerful effects that are freely available to film today but rejected in favour of the star-driven vehicles that monopolise the highways of the film-going mind.'
Some fax messages are printed by Ballard onto the verso of various discarded draft typescript pages.
