Scope and Content

My dear Emily, I quite expected to hear from you & have not been disappointed - I was sure you Wd be sorry for us - & I thank you for telling me so - you will be glad to know that our dear son was ____to the knowledge of his Saviour & that his ____tion to God through Him was perfect & complete - & this ___ so you can understand what a load has been removed from us who mourn & that even in our sorrow we can forgive. You will wonder at my writing in this [strain?] but you will be glad to think that what I have gone through lately has not been without a good support. Yrs affectly Chester Eardley Wilmot.
