Scope and Content

PROBATE OF THE WILL: (15 March 1889) of William Jones, Shop y Rhyd, Llanddyfnan, Anglesea, shopkeeper. He bequeaths £100 to his son and the £100 to be paid to him when he shall be fully 18 years of age and if John dies before receiving the £100, the £100 are to be divided between his two daughters, Jane and Sarah Ann. He wills his wife Elizabeth Jones to keep Jane and Sarah Ann with food and clothing until they are asble to keep themselves. He appoints Edward Jones, his brother, and John Jones, Garnedd, Llanfairmathafarneithaf, Anglesea two trustees for his son John, and if either of the trustees die before the work is completed, he will the other trustee to carry forward the work. He appoints Edward Jones, his brother, and Elizabeth Jones, his wife, joint executors of his will. He gives the rest of his personal property to his brother, Edward, and his wife, Elizabeth to be divided equally jointly between them, (translation from the Welsh).
