LETTER: William Thomas & Co., Liverpool to Captain Robert Jones, Amlwch enclosing a Statement of Account for the voyage of ship "Dominion" showing a profit of £1139.9s.4d. with cheque for £5 for his 1/190 share of £950. In consequence of the grounding after leaving Sunderland it took a long time to do the repairs and in the meantime freights from Newcastle New South Wales and San Fransisco went down. They had to accept a charter from San Fransisco at 20s. less 2s.6d. per ton to Liverpool direct. The ship has been chartered and is now loading a general cargo at Liverpool for San Fransisco at 12s.6d. per ton. Homewards freights are a little better.
