Scope and Content

CIRCULAR LETTER: R.H. Roberts, 30 Brunswick Street, Liverpool to Captain Robert Jones, Amlwch. He regrets that their affairs warrant in his opinion, the course he is now reluctantly taking. He informed his partner and co-owner that he would do this unless he would hand him the money received from the underwriters etc. He has paid for the repairs of damage and other losses sustained by the ship "Alliance" and Mr. Thomas has recovered these sums, though Roberts paid the average adjuster and did all the work connected therewith. He states that his partner owes him other sums of money. He is only pressing for the amount due in respect of "Alliance" as he wants these amounts in order to complete the a/c and send out dividend. The ship is on her voyage from Cardiff for Valparaiso with cargo of coals, bricks and coke. Gross freight £1906 which is very good.
