LETTER: William Lewis & Co, 26 Chapel St, Liverpool to Captain W.W. Fisher, Ship "Talus", Port Talbot. They are in receipt of his letters of the 22nd and 23rd also Store Book and Abstract Log. They wired him today that they had no objection to Mrs. Fisher being with him. They asked him to exercise every care with provisions. The people that held his cargo in Belfast wanted far more money than the orders were worth and the negotiations were brought to an untimely end by his arrival after a very fair passage. His 7 lay days will start immediately on arrival and terminate on Saturday morning, but they shall do all they can to get orders sooner. They enclose letter received from Brokers at Belfast regarding towage. They also enclose letter received by them for apprentice F.P. Cooke.
