Hull uses the manuscript to list and make notes on the different animal, plants and minerals arranged under the Linnaean System of Classification. There is partial numbering of the folios, and those numbered 1-30 are dedicated to the classification of animals and simply list the different species falling within each of the 6 classes. There are some brief descriptions accompanying those listed under the class of mammalia, usually pertaining to the nature of the flesh and the countries in which they are eaten. Folios numbered 31-117 are dedicated to the vegetable kingdom and those numbered 118-129 to minerals.
Here the numbering of folios stops and ff.131-157 contain comments on the work of Nicolas François Regnault and Genevive de Nangis Regnault entitled La Botanique mis a la Portée de tout le Monde and a list of plants described by Hull as a 'Table de Noms des Plantes given in Regnier with the Linnaean name & reference to the figures when arranged according to the Linnaean System'. This is followed by some additional references made by various authors on the subject and ff.158-215 contain further descriptions of the structure of the different plants in each class. The rest of the volume is blank.
