The collection is Richards' own collection of papers relating to glass manufacture and the firm of W.E. Chance and Company Limited in particular, 1910-1979. Comprising typescripts; notes; brochures; recipes for making glass; correspondence relating to copper ruby glass; other correspondence.

Mr F.C. Richards worked for the Birmingham glass firm W.E.Chance and Company Limited, c.1930-1970.

This collection was deposited as a gift by F.C. Richards in 1979-1980.

Permission to make any published use of any material from the collection must be sought in advance in writing from the University Archivist, Special Collections.
