Banne was a distinguished Physician in Manchester and Salford in the late 17th century. He was originally from Cheshire and was admitted to Jesus College Cambridge in 1654. He was physician and feoffee of Chetham's Hospital Manchester. Banne died in 1713. His son, Nathaniel Banne, [1671?]-1736 was the first curate of St Ann's Church Manchester.
