Thomas Buxton Flint came from the Buxton medical family which included George and William Henry Flint. He studied at Owens College, Manchester and held residential positions at MRI and Manchester Northern Hospital for Women and Children before being appointed to the staff of the Devonshire Hospital, Buxton, in 1902. In 1922 he became consulting physician and was a member of the Committee of Management until his death. Flint practised in his family home in Buxton until retiring in 1939. He was also medical officer of health and school medical officer for Buxton from 1906 until 1935 and was a certifying factory surgeon. He was a member of Manchester Medical Society and the Society of Medical Officers of Health. Flint was remembered for driving the first motor car in Buxton in 1898. He died on 9 January 1940.
