Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Parish councils were established by the Local Government Act 1894. Community councils replaced parish councils under local government reorganization in 1974.
Arranged into the following: minute books; councillors declaration book; correspondence and miscellaneous papers; financial records; Carmarthenshire/Dyfed Association of Community Councils; The National Association of Local Councils; Llanelli Borough Council; Dyfed County Council; Carmarthen Citizen's Advice Bureau; Commons, Open Spaces and Footpaths Preservation Society; Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales; Electricity Consultative Council; miscellaneous publications; and Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales.
