Scope and Content

Bundle of miscellaneous correspondence, press cuttings and photocopied articles relating to education. Includes: 3 letters relating to television appearances by Cox in 1973; press cuttings, including letters from Cox to newspaper editors; copy letters from Cox to the BBC and the editor of theDaily Telegraph; a 1979 letter relating to a planned common examination system at 16+; a letter to Cox sent in response to his article in Now (September 1980); a photocopy extract and letter relating to sixth form reorganization in Manchester during 1981; a photocopy of an article by Cox in the Sunday Times (1 December 1985) relating to the lack of funds for school books and libraries; and an undated statistical analysis of examination passes at 90 comprehensive schools in Greater London.
