File containing material similar in nature to that in COX1/2/3, including letters from members of the public, teachers and organizations relating principally to Cox's appearance on the Sunday Debate programmes on 'quality and equality' in education (June 1975), but also including references to: the Black Papers; the secondary education debate generally; individuals' own experiences of the education system as parents or teachers; and the Society of Education Officers' Summer Conference in 1975. The file also includes: a duplicated typescript article (unsigned) entitled 'Equality and Education' (/29); an incomplete annotated typescript article by Cox (apparently missing pages 8-15), entitled 'The Decline of Progressive Education in England, 1969-1981', presumably added to the file retrospectively (/30); and a copy typescript transcript of an undated debate on the education system involving Cox, Bryan Magee and Brian Jackson (/31).
