Scope and Content

John Peck to Sir John Trevor (Little Almerv, near Westminster Abbey): has only received one letter since recipient's removal; will do his best to look after recipient's interests in the division of the two lordships if he is able to do so; much land is still unlet 'times here being much altered and I fear are like to be worse unless it please God to divert his Judgement from the city of Chester, the plague beginning to spread itself there which caused the Judges to put off the assizes there'; has not yet received an answer from the masons.
