John Peck to Sir John Trevor, MP (Cannon Row, Westminster): thanks for news of his son; arrangements for sending money; encloses an angry letter from Mrs Wood's daughter on behalf of her mother; has got recipient off from providing any horse or arms and had got Sir Thomas Trevor excused of one horse but Captain Ball had charged him with two and, unless he was excluded from the Commission of the Peace again, writer could do nothing about it; Captain Ball is also trying to get a commission as a Major of Foot.
