Letter

Scope and Content

Griffith Davies, carpenter, to Sir John Trevor: begs that he may be excused paying a herriot of a cow on his wife's late employer's property as he has been at great expense settling his affairs and paying for his funeral and is now left with a small child to maintain; asks to be considered for any carpenter's work which may be required on the estate in future as he believes he gave satisfaction when employed at the hall in Allington in the past.
