John Peck to Sir John Trevor, MP (Cannon Row, Westminster): the late Sir Evan Lloyd asks recipient to put in his answer in Chancery so the matters there can proceed; arrangements for paying £4 to John Wright to get his release from prison; 'the causeway at Chester hath lately done a great deal of harm in drowning the grounds and cattle. There were seen four score beasts besides horses that came drowned over the causeway through the bridge and the causeway being so high that the water cannot get back again but keeps people within their houses that they cannot get out besides the land and corn and hay it spoils every year'.
