Scope and Content

Typescript transcripts of interviews with pioneers in the field of Operational Research by their colleagues, 1993-1998, in some cases with accompanying correspondence and material illustrative of subjects raised in the interview.

Arrangement

This collection forms part of the Operational Research and Operational Research Society Archive (MSS.335), which was deposited with the Centre by operational research practitioners.

This collection has been catalogued to item level. A copy of the finding aid is available both online and in paper format in the Centre's searchroom, at the National Register of Archives in London, and in Chadwyck-Healey's National Inventory of Documentary Sources.

Acquisition Information

These interviews were generated as part of an on-going 'History of Operational Research' project mounted by the Operational Research Society in 1992, and were collected over a period of time from 1993. They have been deposited with the Modern Records Centre between 1993 and 1998 as part of that archive.
