Scope and Content

(i) Regarding the consultation with John Badeley at his chambers in the Temple, it may be too late to apply for an Act of Parliament in this session, an application to the Court of Queen's Bench was considered along with particular relating to the Church Discipline Act, and the most appropriate course of action appeared to be an application from the parishioners to the Bishop stating their grounds of complaint and asking him to exercise his visitatorial power concerning the non-residence of Mr Parkinson. 3 Feb 1849.

(ii) Regarding John Walker, Knight: Lever has made a search for judgements. Concerning the Church Reform Association: enquiries are being undertaken in the archives at Durham. 19 Feb 1849.

(iii) Lever explains that he has made repeated applications at Mr Badeley's chambers for his opinion, but Badeley is detained at the Assizes in Maidstone. 15 Mar 1849.

(iv) Lever reveals that Mr Badeley has sent for a copy of his opinion and wishes to make some alterations in the original opinion, so Lever requests Ackers to send it to him. 19 Mar 1849.
