Contents include a typescript transcript of the memoir made in 1975 (top copy and carbon); a typescript of "Stanley Baldwin and rearmament, 1932-1938", by Sir Graham Vincent; and a photocopy of "Telling the truth to the people", by Reginald Bassett, from The Cambridge Journal, November 1948, pp.84-95.

Administrative / Biographical History

Sir Graham Vincent, 1891-1981, was a senior civil servant. From 1928 to 1936 he was Private Secretary/Principal Private Secretary to successive Prime Ministers, and Assistant Secretary to the Committee on Imperial Defence from 1936 to 1939. His final appointment before retirement in 1956 was Secretary for Government Hospitality.
