Each page is largely the same, detailing Income and Expenditure of the Management Expenses Fund. Left-hand pages record amounts received: date, from whom received (individual names, members, surgeon, donation), for management contribution fund, for interest invested capital, for fines, for goods and total received. This is noted on a monthly basis for each year. Right-hand pages record amounts paid: date, to whom paid (district, individuals secretary's salary, surgeon, new books), for officers salary, for surgeon, for printing and stationery, for goods, postage, etc. and total paid. In 1881 interest received on capital changes to surgeon and rent is included in outgoing expenses. The volume ends in 1948 with the final pages left blank.
Pasted onto the first page is a leaflet or notice entitled 'Partial amendment of branch rules', stating that there was a surplus of funds of £298 (Dec 1924). Members decided that all the remaining funds should be put into the Management Fund, along with any interest received.
