20 Jul 1815:
(i) Charles Dundas of Barton Court, co. Berks, esq.
(ii) William Rigby of Hawarden, co. Flint, gent., and William Hancock of Aston, co. Flint, gent.
(i) agrees to grant to (ii) all main coal under 3 fields called Jenk Riddings, The Sparrow Field and the Lower Field in the parish of Hawarden, with liberty to sink pits therein, and also to grant them all the main coal under adjoining lands northwards as far as The Great Fault for £350 per acre.
Endorsed with various other agreements subsequently made and a note of arbitration in a dispute between the parties, 1833.
