Scope and Content

DEPOSITIONS: John Edwards of Gallt penddu parish Coedana, labourer, and Richard Jones of Tyddyn parish Amlwch. J.E. says that he was driving a cart in company with Jason Edwards near Pendre parish Rhodogeidio. As the carts were going through a gap from the field of Hugh Owen who had sold them hay, the wife of Robert Roberts grabbed the reigns of Jason Edwards horse. He drove on and she fell under the horses. R.R. picked up a piece of wood and hit Jason Edwards across the head. Jason Edwards fell unconscious for about 10 minutes. After which he vomited blood and was taken home in a cart where he remains very ill.

ii) R.J. who was in another cart and witnessed the assault confirms the above.
