DEPOSITION: John Jones of Llanddwyn, pilot, before Owen Evans charged with stealing a deal balk [rough beam], from John and Robert Gordon Roberts, timber merchants. States that he saw the balk on Llanddwyn beach on March 8 and told J. and R.G.R. The next day the balk was gone and there were cart wheels on the beach. He saw a deal balk this morning at Newborough and thinks it is the same one.
