Autograph letter, signed, 6pp. 8vo.
Reports her conversation with her father about responsibility 'for the sort of people who join us.' He suggests a large general committee of 'unimpeachable names of men and women' each to subscribe £1 and sign the petition, with an executive committee 'to do all the practical work.' They must be 'minutely businesslike in all our proceedings,' especially in finances. Has asked Mrs Taylor, Mrs [John] Knox [the former Isa Craig (1831-1903), Scottish poet and activist] and Miss Davies to come down on Wednesday and asks Barbara Bodichon to come, too. [Emily Davies (1830-1921), feminist, promoter of education.]
