Autograph letter, signed, 8pp. 8vo. of a letter, in two folds, marked on first pages '2' and '3'. Part 1 is missing.

About a society in Bristol that provides classes, a library and reading room for poor men, but women not admitted. A penny fund to buy a copy of Shakespeare for [Lajos] Kossuth [1902-1894, Hungarian patriot and statesman, governor of Hungary then exile, in Turkey, Italy, United States of America 1851-1852, and England] and his cool reception in America. Her adverse reaction to Father [Alessandro] Gavazzi [(1809-1889), Italian priest turned Evangelical in 1850 in England, organised Italian Protestants in London 1850-60], whom she had heard lecture.
