Diaries written by Howard Diamind, in his official capacity with the London Missionary Society, and also from a personal perspective, documenting a voyage made on the mission ship "John Williams VI" from Grimsby to Suva, Fiji, 1948-1949, and a separate visit to Bengal, India, 1951, also on behalf of the London Missionary Society.

Administrative / Biographical History

Howard Diamond was Assistant Treasurer of the London Missionary Society, 1928-1952. In 1948 he was responsible for refitting and commissioning a coaster, the Empire Sloane, as the mission ship "John Williams VI", and sailing with her to Suva, Fiji.
