Administrative / Biographical History
The Amalgamated Tin-Plate Workers' Pension Society, London was formed in 1875 by the amalgamation of the London Co-operative Tin-Plate Workers' Pension Society and the London Operative Tin-Plate Workers' Pension Society. Formal amalgamation does not seem to have taken place until 1877, although the two societies were certainly operating together before that.
