Mines of lead ore and calamine in waste lands and inclosures on and adjoining Halkin Mountain, parishes of Halkin [Halkyn] and Northop (map endorsed), including mines heretofore worked by (i), called Pant y Go or Windy Gap, Old Rakes, 'Eutch' [? Catch], Wern Gwyre or Cornel y Cae, and Pant y Frith, with the deep level sough or adit heretofore driven by (i) from Coed y Cra and now proceeding towards the mines; also coal in lands coloured green on the map.

Map shows shafts and veins in the area covered by the lease in considerable detail, including line of the Deep Level from its portal to Catch Whimsey, and small allotments let as annual bargains; Halkin Hall, Halkin church and some buildings in the village, and Moelgaer [Moel-y-gaer].

Term: 21 years.

Royalty: 34s. per ton of lead ore, and 17s. per ton of calamine.
