  • letters to Russell from various correspondents, 1904-25 (McMaster Coll. VI. 1), containing letters from: Mary Sheepshanks, 1904-16; Oliver Strachey, 1905-13; Mary Ward, 1906; Lady Jane Strachey, 1908-9; Helen Swanwick, 1908-25; and Harold Laski, 1912
  • letters to Russell and miscellaneous papers relating to women's suffrage, 1907-16 (McMaster Coll. IX. 2)

Administrative / Biographical History

Bertrand Arthur William Russell (1872-1970), 3rd Earl Russell, was a philosopher and social reformer. The photocopies include material relating to women's suffrage, Russell stood for Parliament in Wimbledon as women's suffrage candidate in 1917.
