Poems, some copies, but mostly original verse dedicated to family, friends and acquaintances. Included are poems by Caroline Aufrre, later Flavell (sister) (1798); and by George Aufrre (1796). The volume has the ownership inscription of F.S. Blake. There is also a presentation inscription in the volume, 'John W. Flavell from Mrs. Squires'.

Maria Aufrre was possibly the granddaughter of Anthony Aufrre (1730-1814), antiquary, of Old Foulsham Hall, Norfolk. He had two sons, George John Aufrre (1769-1853) and Philip Duval Aufrre (1776-1848). Maria Aufrre married a man named Squires.
