The Committee of Coal Owners Members of the Conciliation Board was formed in 1899  in Glasgsow, Scotland, and consisted of representatives from colliery owners from the following Scottish counties and towns: Lanarkshire, Slamannan, Linlithgowshire, Lothians, Fife and Clackmannan, and Ayrshire. This committee was the forum at which the coal owners discussed their position prior to meeting the miners' representatives at the Board of Conciliation for the Regulation of Wages in the Coal Trade of Scotland .
