Bacup 15 December
Bardsley's mind was not so comfortable today as it might have been on account of his own foolishness last night. 'I fear I gave way to unclean thoughts. Oh! That I was more wise & more watchfull'. He preached this morning at Haslingden from [unreadable text - the writing is very faded]. The Lord's work prospers there.
At Mill End he spoke from Psalm 107: 7 and again in Bacup from the same text. There were many hearers and he was able to join some to the society. The good work prospers here also.
Today, Lawrence Madan, a pious young man died - he has long been a help and an ornament to God's work in this place.
