A collection comprising largely of correspondence and material collected by Haines when he was compiling his bibliography of Monmouthshire.

Administrative / Biographical History

William Haines (1852-1922), local historian and bibliographer, was born in Penpergwm, Monmouthshire. He collected a substantial amount of material relating to Monmouthshire, most of which was purchased after his death by the National Library of Wales.
