MB ChB Glasgow 1922.

Marshall was born on 29 March 1899 and gained his medical training at Glasgow University. He was house surgeon at Addenbrooke's Hospital Cambridge, before settling in general practice in Rochdale, Lancashire, where he ran a successful practice for 35 years. Marshall was an active member of BMA and was chairman of the local division from 1946 to 1948. He retired from general practice at the age of 60 and was assistant divisional medical officer of Lancashire County Council in the Fylde area. In 1962 Marshall returned to Rochdale as full-time medical officer to Crompton and Royton. He retired in 1965 but continued to run occasional sessions. Marshall died suddenly on 9 July 1966.
