Scope and Content

Cuttings of various newspaper and magazine articles and pictures collected by Gaye Hicyilmaz. The file includes the following articles:

The file also contains pictures cut from various publications, including a picture of a man exercising his goslings in Taipeng, China; a picture of an elderly Turkish woman in traditional dress, carrying a shopping bag over one shoulder and standing with a young girl; a picture of an elderly Muscovite woman trying to exchange an old sweater for fish at a market; photocopies of two pictures of Romanian gypsy families; and a photograph of an unidentified winter landscape, date stamped on the reverse '1984'. The file also contains a copy of an author profile of Gaye Hicyilmaz, published by Children's Book News in 1999.
