Administrative / Biographical History

Assessment Committees, comprising representatives of the County Council and of rating authorities, were formed under the Rating and Valuation Act, 1925, to revise and approve draft valuation lists. The committees were dissolved under the Local Government Act, 1948

There is a public right of inspection to these records under Section 108 of the General Rate Act, 1967
