Letter from Thomas Allsop to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, in which Allsop indicates he will join Owen's trip to the North if he leaves Sunday or Monday as all "are very anxious to know what is really doing in the North". Allsop explains it would do him good "to be near you morally, intellectually and physically".

The death of Mrs Mocatta is also mentioned briefly, with later annotations noting that she was the daughter of I.L. Goldsmid and that she died 23 January 1838.
