Letter from William Coningham to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Owen is thanked for forwarding a copy of the Rational Review, with Coningham writing that he lent it to Edwin Chadwick as he "seems inclined to Socialism".

Coningham believes a "bloody battle has to be fought in Europe before peace can be established" but that " if the crop be ripe, fear not the labourers will be found".
