Letter from John Williamson to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Williamson asks Owen if his "establishments on the continent" are in need of a young man like himself who could "keep books" or assist with "teaching in a common way". Williamson explains, he was born and raised at New Lanark under Owen's tuition and was brought up in the "wareroom" until the age of 16.
