Letter from Anna Allsop to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

This manuscript letter briefly discusses the state of affairs in England, Ireland and France. In terms of England [and probably referring to the Chartist movement], Anna explains that "things seem to be getting more quiet here and people are getting more confidence, not the Government I dare say" whilst in Ireland she feels "something dreadful will happen there".

The letter also refers to a letter being received from Mrs Cox at Queenwood.
